CDSC Awards Evening huge success
Friday night marked the annual Club Doncaster Sports College Awards evening at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Celebrating triumphs on and off the field, the college acknowledged a fantastic year of success with accolades for education and sport.
The night was topped off with a two-course meal and a photo booth to allow students a well-deserved night to let their hair down.
Deputy Principal, Ben Thompson was delighted with the evening, he commented: "This year’s Sports Dinner & Awards evening was another brilliant evening.”
“The event showcases many success stories created by our students over the academic year; we reflected on the successful defence of the Varsity Trophy by the Men's Academy, the dramatic penalty shootout win for the Ladies Academy and, most importantly, the educational performances of the students.”
He continued: “The students work hard all year, contributing to our excellent statistics as a college, so it's great to celebrate achievements on and off the field”
Accolades presented on the evening included Player of the Year for each sports team and Student of the Year academically.
Student of the Year for year 13, Josh Bucknell, was proud of his award. He said: “It’s been a hard year of work and everyone has really put the effort in, so it’s a great feeling to be recognised.”
“We all really enjoyed the evening, it was a great chance for us all to get together out of college and celebrate what a fantastic year it has been.”
